OnePlus 13 camera details leaked ahead of the October 31 China launch: All we know

OnePlus 13 is all set to be launched in China on October 31. Now ahead of the launch, some details about the phone’s camera have surfaced online. Louis Lee, the President of OnePlus China, has revealed the details of the OnePlus 13 on the Chinese alternative of Twitter, which is called Weibo. He has offered an inside look at the camera setup on the upcoming OnePlus 13, and it’s shaping up to be quite the upgrade from the OnePlus 12. Like its predecessor, the OnePlus 13 will have a three-camera setup on the back, but this time, all three cameras are set at an impressive 50 megapixels each.
At the core is a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-808 sensor for the main camera, To keep up with OnePlus’ high standards, the cameras are once again co-developed with Hasselblad, which typically ensures vibrant colors and well-balanced photos.
The telephoto camera has also seen a major redesign. Instead of the usual rectangular periscope lens, OnePlus has opted for a new dual-prism setup. This allows for a slimmer profile and uses a 3x zoom to bring subjects closer. The sensor here is a bit smaller than the last model (1/1.95″), with an f/2.6 aperture, and should help capture solid details and depth even from afar.
For ultra-wide shots, the OnePlus 13’s camera offers a 120° field of view. This wide perspective is great for capturing wide scenes, from landscapes to large group photos.
All we know about the OnePlus 13
The OnePlus 13 will feature significant upgrades over the OnePlus 12. One of the most talked-about features of the OnePlus 13 is its processor. It’s rumored to be one of the first smartphones to debut with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which is expected to be officially unveiled during Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit on October 22. Previously referred to as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, the Snapdragon 8 Elite is set to bring major improvements in performance and power efficiency, thanks to its new Oryon cores.
This new chip is designed to make the OnePlus 13 faster, smoother, and more power-efficient, which is perfect for users who rely on their phones for heavy multitasking, gaming, and other high-performance tasks. OnePlus might even beat its competitors, like Xiaomi and Oppo, to the punch by being the first to release a phone powered by this chipset.
OnePlus is known for pushing the limits when it comes to battery life and charging speeds, and the OnePlus 13 will likely continue that trend. Rumors suggest that the device will come equipped with a massive 6,000mAh battery—a big improvement over the 5,400mAh battery found in the previous OnePlus model. This could mean longer usage times for users who are always on the go.
